Cheek Piercing Question - Swelling and Speaking?

I've had a monroe, (not sure if that's what you mean, or more in the middle)....it barely hurt, no swelling, no sensitivity, no infection, no problem speaking immediately after, or anytime for that matter.....never ever had a problem while i had it. but i do think it takes a long time for the hole to become permanent. i think the cheek is a fast healing body part due to the quantity of saliva. i had mine for a year and took it out for less then 8 hours and couldn't get it back through. hope this helped, and good luck!
