Should I be concerned about the "new" smell from the upholstered sofa I bought? (could it be formaldehyde?)?

The sofa just delivered is giving off a strong chemical odor--I called RTG and they said it will go away in a few days, but they didn't think there was any formaldehyde to worry about. I don't see anything on the labels. It is a Cindy Crawford brand sofa.
