Is the "first fart in a relationship" always done by the male?

I am sure that is true in the majority of cases but it wasn't in mine. My wife of 17 years was the first one to break the silence so to speak. She was mortified, but the damage had been done. To this day, 17 years later, she is reminded of who wears the "fart" pants in our family.
