Who else thinks criminals need to actually be punished?
I recently watched a film called "An American Crime" which doents the torture-murder of a 16-year old girl named Sylvia Likens. Her murderer, Gertrude Baniszewski, was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and she was released in 1985 on parole. Her daughter, Paula, was charged with manslaughter and also released. What sick, twisted form of justice is that? I think we need to bring back REAL capital punishment: I'm talking about being hanged, drawn, and quartered; boiled alive, slowly and feet-first; burned at the stake; dismembered, limb-by-limb. We need to bring it back and reserve it for the sub-humans that commit these sorts of crimes. And forget the law-- I think if you decide to torture someone to death, you no longer count as "human" and the Constitution no longer applies to you. People like Gertrude and Paula Baniszewski do not deserve prison, let alone release on parole. They deserve to suffer the same painful, horrible death they inflicted. Am I completely insane here?
