I have seen this problem all too often within the workplace, where workers become friends and then one or both end up getting into the maagement level and then friendships that were allowed at one time, and then have changed. This ocurred so that it would not be like she would show favoritism over other staff members. I know it seems unfair, but she needs to show each person the same amount of attention as the next staff member. Also she does not want rumors to start either within the workplace.
