Any ideas for an article to write a position paper on?

We have to write a position paper on any article we'd like and I have ideas but I'm not a good writer so I am bad at determining whether it's a good topic to choose or not. We should try to find articles that are "offensive" harsh and one-sided. We can't bias our opinion on it either. I was thinking about doing something about keeping the marijuana proposition illegal. I'm not sure if that would be a fairly "easy" topic to do so does anyone else have any ideas?
